My name is Chris Bortzner, and I have been playing tournament chess for over 40 years. I have lived in Melbourne for 18 years, and been a chess coach/instructor for the past ten. During that time, I have been amazed and grateful for the popularity of chess in this area and now that I am retired, I've decided to open a local chess center and create a website to promote the game that I love so much. The Brevard Chess Center is now open for chess activities, including tournaments workshops and lessons.
Please let me know what you think of the site, and how it can be made better. What resources would be useful to you? What has been missing that you would like to add?
